Rigoni’s is holding City Cellar Door Events again!

Rigoni’s Bistro & Winewise consulting are holding City Cellar Doors again this winter. May 3rd will bring with it another great City Cellar Door event, showcasing wines and wineries from all across South Australia. Mark it down in your diaries now! Remember, from your $20 entry, $10 will go directly to the Little Heroes Foundation, and you score unlimited tasting of this month’s selection. This month’s local wineries being showcased at the event include Dell’uva and Mitchell Wines.

Dell’uva Wines is home to Australia’s largest selection of European varieties. Family owned and operated by the Farquhar family, owner Wayne has spent years sourcing the right vines for the Barossa Valley property. With a selection of reds, whites, rose and sparkling to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice at this event.

This month features a Riesling release from Mitchell Wines from Clare Valley, a winery with a long-standing Rigoni’s tradition. Ever since 1979, Andrew and Jane Mitchell have brought the first bottles of their Watervale Riesling to Rigoni’s for a taste of the vintage, forming a long relationship with the Bistro. This year, whilst still continuing the tradition, Mitchell Wines will be showcasing their 2017 Watervale Riesling and other delicious wines from their vineyard at a special tasting at the City Cellar Door event on May 3rd.

Mitchell Wines is a family owned winery, with two generations growing up on the winery with the third just beginning. Their wines - particularly the Watervale Riesling and the Peppertree Vineyard Shiraz - have always been must-haves at Rigoni’s, and this May 3rd, Hilary, Angus and Edwina Mitchell will be sharing their taste bud tantalizing selection with you - think Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mataro Grenache, and maybe even a Rosé. The family can’t wait to share a glass with you and your friends, and urge you to mark it in your calendar now!
